What to Expect

At Heibel Dermatology, our health care providers continue to strive for excellence in the care we provide. The physician, nurses, and support staff undergo continuous training and maintain certification to ensure that the care provided is the most comprehensive, advanced, and thorough available.

Every effort is made to ensure that you are satisfied with your visit and the care provided. From the time you arrive at the office you should expect to be treated in a friendly and courteous manner. Every effort is made to ensure you receive timely care. For your ease and convenience, billing services are provided in the clinic, and the billing staff works closely with most major insurance carriers.


Come prepared with these important documents

Welcome to our Patient Center! Here you will find several important documents that will pertain to your visit. Please fill out a medical records release form if you would like us to obtain your outside records for review by your provider. We require that a parent accompany adolescents (age 19 and younger) for their visit.
Patients should bring their ID and insurance card/s to ALL appointments.

Late / No-Show Policy

Please respect our other patients by arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time. If you arrive at, or after, your appointment time you may be considered a “no-show.” Our provider’s make every effort to run on schedule because we value your time.

If you are not able to keep your appointment, please call us at 402-488-6969 at least 24 hours before your appointment time.

Insurance and Billing
If your insurance plan requires visits to a specialist to be prior-authorized or pre-certified, please contact your insurance company and/or primary care provider’s office before coming for your appointment. Failure to obtain authorization may result in reduced benefits from your insurance company.
We are participating providers for many insurance companies including: Medicare, Palmetto, Medicare Advantage Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Aetna, UMR, Cigna, Midlands Choice, Medica, Medicaid, some Humana plans, Tricare, VA/CHAMPVA, and numerous commercial plans.
If you have questions about whether your plan is contracted with Heibel Dermatology you may either contact your insurance company or call us at 402-488-6969.
Following your visit, we will submit your medical claim to your insurance company. After insurance has paid, we will send you a statement and you will be responsible for the remaining balance. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Your insurance company may determine the services you received as cosmetic or not medically necessary. An example is the removal of a lesion that is not problematic; because the patient does not like the way it looks. If insurance denies your claim as not medically necessary, you will be responsible for the services rendered. To avoid any surprises, please contact your insurance plan before your visit.
